The ACT Natural Resources Management Council is one of 56 natural resource management regional bodies across Australia. The Council is a non-statutory body established by the ACT Government to work with the Government and the community to achieve tangible, measurable, positive changes in the condition of natural resources, and to enhance the capacity of the ACT community to address natural resources issues. The operation of the Council is supported by the Australian Government’s Caring for our Country initiative and complementary ACT Government funding. The Council provides leadership and guidance in natural resources management in the ACT by:
NRM North works with the community in northern Tasmania to look after our natural resources.
Our region covers approximately 2.5 million hectares of Tasmania and extends to the three nautical mile limit from the coast.
NRM North’s vision for northern Tasmania is one where the regional community is committed to the sustainable management of our natural resources for the benefit of current and future generations.
We aim to improve the integration of natural resource management activities across the region in a manner that balances environmental, economic and social objectives and encourages partnerships between all stakeholders.

The Australian Land Management Group is a not-for-profit organisation established by landholders to improve and verify environmental and animal welfare outcomes. The ALM Group’s whole-of-farm landscape-linked Certified Land Management (CLM) system is being adopted by landholders across four states.
